Didn't Linn's used to make their classified ads available to viewable by non-subscribers?
I've been digging around on the site, and I haven't successfully knocked on the right door yet.
Does anybody know if they're still available to non-subscribers, and, if so, how to access them?
Thanks in advance,
-- Dave

I have never heard of that. Sorry I can’t be of better help.

I only looked at the first page of their online submission form and it didn't ask for Subscription ID. What gets asked on next page, don't know... Here is a clickable link: Place a Classified Word Ad in Linn's

Thanks, Ted Talks Stamps and khj . My question was phrased really inartfully, and I've revised it in my original post. What I really meant to ask was: Didn't Linn's used to make their classified ads available to viewable by non-subscribers?

khj, that was exactly what I was looking for! I was about to ask you what you clicked on to find it, as I thought I'd explored all the options pretty thoroughly, but, looking again now, knowing it was possible, I see it's way down at the bottom of the page under 'Shop'. But not under the much larger 'Shop' link at the top. Grrr. Thank you very much! May this bring you much good fortune in the new year!

Yes, I found it at the bottom of the page. You've seen me and know I'm a pretty short guy -- I'm used to looking at things from bottom going up! Happy stampy new year to you!

philatarium, you go me curious. So I checked the SHOP in the topbar, and like you, didn't see it. Then I played around some more. Actually, it is in the SHOP dropdown menu at the top! In the dropdown, 2nd item in left column you will see SEARCH CLASSIFIEDS. But... I didn't see it at first, as I had my screen set at 125% magnification. Apparently, that messes up the layout and pushes the SEARCH CLASSIFIEDS link off the screen! If you are on a device, the bootstrap may have knocked it off the viewable dropdown. When I set my magnification back to 100%, then I saw it.

Thank you, khj, for your diligence! You're correct (of course!), it is at the top, but, gosh, I would never have thought to scroll right for what looked like an otherwise normal page layout. I'll go you one better -- even at 100% on my browser (my default setting), it did not show up. After your most recent post, it was only then that I noticed the scroll bar at the bottom of the page. Speaking of 'inartful', that's a highly inartful page design. Once again, your philatelic karma account is not only full and brimming, but undoubtedly overflowing at this point. Thank you very much for the second set of eyes! (And second brain!)

Interesting thread. I found the classifieds. thanks.. but I am not there or should I say I cannot find myself as a dealer.. I tried to find out if my advert showed soon after I paid them, No luck and still a no show as far as I can see.. they got my money and I got zip in return I gave up trying to get in touch -- wasn't worth the energy in the end --- just wrote it off as bad decision. such is life ..... and far be it for me to think I know anything about database searches but theirs is ... well you decide.. Thanks for the thread info though Michael cddstamps
