tomd: Some of my stamps are so pretty and bold and very WET Feb 20, 2025 16:02:19 GMT *
jfxpriore: I am trying to message a member, can someone help me out on where I can find out how to do this. Thanks in advance for your help Mar 14, 2025 0:37:13 GMT
ClassicPhilatelist: jfxpriore: Go to "MESSAGES" at the top of the site. Click on that. Click on Create, enter a subject, and the name of the member you want to message, and then create and send your message. Mar 14, 2025 8:57:38 GMT
martyn: Search bar doesn't appear to be working, wouldn't find "Isle of Islay" for me Mar 14, 2025 17:57:06 GMT
jfxpriore: Thanks Classic Philatisy Mar 14, 2025 22:47:57 GMT
jfxpriore: Thanks ClassicPhilatist, but this is not working for me here. This looks similar to the setup on The Stamp Forum on ProBoards, and I can send messages there, but not here. This should not be that hard, so I am really lost Mar 14, 2025 22:50:11 GMT
jfxpriore: I am not seeing a Send Button Mar 14, 2025 22:52:24 GMT
jfxpriore: I just tried sending the Moderator a message, and I think it work. But then I tried to resend my message to another member and it did not. If the Moderator saw my message please respond Mar 15, 2025 1:51:07 GMT
ClassicPhilatelist: The button doesn't say "send" oddly, but it does say "Create Message" both when you first "create" the message and then when you're done that button is also called "create message", I guess it actually "creates" it. It's not really being "sent" anywhere. Mar 15, 2025 5:00:25 GMT
ClassicPhilatelist: Ah, and then there is the 25 post minimum before private message is enabled. So there's that. Mar 15, 2025 10:28:00 GMT
jfxpriore: Thank you, I was not aware of the threshold before being able to send messages Mar 15, 2025 22:50:26 GMT
khj: While there is a minimum post count requirement to send PM to a member, there is none to PM staff. Any member, including new members, may send/receive staff PMs. That is why you saw the Send button when sending to a staff. Mar 19, 2025 7:31:55 GMT *

ClassicPhilatelist: For those who knew him, I only learned today that Dr. Berrien Moore III has passed away on 17 Dec 2024. I hadn't heard from him as we had both been very busy around the last time I spoke to him. Terribly saddened at the loss of this great man. Apr 18, 2025 9:14:12 GMT
Ted Talks Stamps: I'm so sorry to hear that, Scott. Thanks for letting us know. Apr 18, 2025 20:10:11 GMT
