Makes one's blood pressure go wacky and makes one want to go postal on the posties. Either that or take away their crayons. I have had several Souvenir Sheets ruined with this postal procedure.

Since the turn of the century, with maybe one exception (out of dozens of envelopes/packages), I don't think I got any canceled stamps from Canada.

Hi,
I have Canada Post see this doing multiple of times. I contacted them and I got the standard answer that sometimes the system cannot add a cancellation and than it has to be done manually and pen cancelling is the only option then :-( Although they value collectors, the main aim is to get the post from A to B and ensure that the stamps cannot be reused again. So that is pretty much what one could expect, standard answer. It makes collecting newer used stamps even harder than it already is.
