This thread is a catch all file for Brutish Colonial and Commonwealth pictorial stamps to roughly 1970. And to start: Dominica sc 108, 2/6d scarlet vermillion & black, 1938, mnh. "Scarlet Vermillion..." That sounds like a character in an Agatha Christie mystery.

Yeah, that is fairly generic. I took a quick look at a map of Dominica earlier. It's not a small island, but the only named lake I could find was "Boiling Lake."
So I can easily imagine someone in the property room at Harissons' saying, "No, but we have a fresh water lake."
