Okay, I just took a crash course in the theory of operation of mobile and laptop chargers and power supplies, and understood exactly what I read. But me being me, and with electronics theory never being a strong point (even as my country put its faith in me for 6 years to keep their AC&W radar systems running), I need a definite, “All clear; go for it,” from someone smarter than me, so I can have someone else to blame if . . . 😁 This is my laptop power cord transformer. This is telling me I can plug into a German 220vac outlet with no problem, right? All I need is a plug adapter and not a voltage converter. Is that correct. My laptop is down to 35%, so HURRY!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

That is correct. Most of the modern wall warts or bricks will automatically convert 110-240VAC to the proper VDC. If you have an older adapter (>30 years), you should check the specs. Either way, I wouldn't use a 30 year old adapter on a critical device. The only problem you might run into is the 50-60Hz for certain devices, but shouldn't have any problems with DC voltage laptops (the issue primarily occurs with AC to AC adapters).

The 50-60Hz difference will basically affect AC devices that have an electrical motor and depend on rotation rate, or for some of the really old CRT monitors. The later CRT monitors/software allowed you to change the settings to accommodate 50Hz or 60Hz.
The only problem I've ever really had was like 30 years ago regarding video cameras/recordings. In certain cases, the frequency does make a difference. You might also have to deal with occasional PAL/NTSC differences on older recordings. But I haven't run into that problem in over 30 years.

Okay. I just ran a smoke check on my laptop. Except for all my folder and icon labels being in German now, everything’s looking good.
