I encountered a few really weird topical collectors over the years. The two that really stand out are:
#1 Weirdest - Only collected used multiples with maps depicted on them #2 Tomatoes - Cachets, stamps, postmarks... anything philatelic that had a tomato on it... THAT is a narrow field.
What's the weirdest topical collection you've ever seen/started/known to be collected?

Onions.
Had a friend that collected anything with an onion. She had a special place in my heart!

I saw a discussion thread elsewhere asking for when the first stamp depicting a tomato was! I like onions, There is a philatelist who only collects the 2 shilling blue, though he does appreciate stamps in general.

Now yeah, that is one weird stamp. My favorite skeleton is also one "bonking" but in a different way. The US Private Die Medicine stamp from Hunts RS56. It is among my favorite of all the Private Die (Top 5 for sure).
Cow facing LEFT... yeah, that's getting specific.

Yup! That's the one Ted! It's stamps like these that are the reason the US FDA exists. ><

Does this count as a cow facing left? Facing left but looking right.

I'd count it. But that's just me. I have no idea the troubled mind of the "Cow facing left" topical collector!

Does this count as a cow facing left? Facing left but looking right. This is a different topic entirely. This is Cows saying, “Say, what you doing back there?”
